Community Woodland Planting in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown 2024

An exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in your local environment. As part of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Councils’ commitment to delivering improved tree cover and native forests, we are planning to plant 10,000 native whip trees between February and March 2024.

The sites identified for this tree-planting initiative are Shanganagh Cliffs (3500 Trees), Cluny Park (1500), Clonkeen Park (5000).

By participating in this project, you will be making a direct, positive and long term contribution to your local area. The benefits of trees are many, including improving air quality, habitat for wildlife and sequestering carbon.

The scheduled planting dates as follows:

Cluny Park:                        Saturday 24th February 10am-3 pm
Shanganagh Cliffs:           Saturday 2nd & 9th March 10am-3pm
Clonkeen Park:                 Saturday 16th & 23rd March (National Tree Week)
10am-3pm

Thank you for considering this opportunity, together, we can work towards a greener, more sustainable future for our community.
