A DSP Board of Management meeting was held on Monday 18th May 2026.
The Board of Management would like to acknowledge all the children of DSP who impressed the inspectorate by being interested, curious, creative learners who took pride in their learning and engaged positively in lessons. A special mention to the children who took part in the Focus Groups. The children, on behalf of their classmates, demonstrated a clear commitment to inclusion and were recognised in their role as key contributors to a sustainable future. The wonderful and welcoming behaviour of the children was also highlighted. Thank you to you all the amazing children of DSP! YOU ROCK!!
The Board of Management would like to show much appreciation to the staff of DSP. The quality of teaching was recorded as highly commendable with teachers providing praiseworthy learning experiences that promoted pupils’ agency, encouraged decision-making and fostered ownership of learning. They welcomed pupils’ ideas and suggestions and provided them with opportunities to make meaningful choices about their learning. Thank you all for your commitment to our children in DSP! Your hard work, dedication and care for every child is hugely appreciated by the whole school community!
The Board of Management would like to thank the PTA for their fantastic fundraising work and acknowledge the time, energy and effort that goes into each school community event. The money raised for the Nurture Room will go a long way to ensuring inclusion and equal access to education for every child.
The BoM would like to acknowledge the goodwill of the school community and children regarding school lunches. Plans are in place for the return of the government directed Hot Meals school lunches as soon as possible.
The Board thanks everyone who has donated voluntary contributions to date. Reminder emails will be sent in the summer term as every contribution is really valuable and makes a difference to children’s learning experience.
