PTA

Why does the PTA fundraise?

The PTA organises a series of fundraising events throughout the school year in order to support our school and supplement the funding received. This year, funds will go towards improving internal learning areas; maintaining the pond and decking area in the school garden; helping to maintain the school building; helping with the purchase of any equipment and resources for the classrooms and pupils; and providing extra activities for the children such as sports classes, gymnastics, dance and forest school. We also provide author/illustrator visits during book week and subsidise school tour buses and other fun events. The PTA also engages in some charitable support activities throughout the year.

How to get involved

All parents/guardians of DSP are automatic members of the PTA. The PTA meetings are open to all parents in the school, whether or not you are a class rep. Attending meetings is a great way to meet people, find out what is happening throughout the year or to join organising groups.
