Have a look at all the learning that happened in the forest on Friday. We were so lucky to have 6th class as assistants for the first time. The Junior Infants loved having such fun assistants! We learned new games, got to know our base camp, tasted dandelion tea and made dandelion curls. We listened to a story and had free play. You can see the learning from the classroom being integrated into the outdoors (e.g. writing letters they learned in school in dandelion invisible ink or turning from a cocoon in the hammock into a butterfly) and we always see the learning in the forest enhancing the learning in the classroom in both academic and social emotional ways.
