Míle buíochas to Our Wonderful PTA!!

We are very fortunate/Ádhmhar in DSP that we have a hard working, creative and generous PTA who provide our students with wonderful opportunities to learn in a wide variety of ways, particularly in the area of PE/Wellbeing.

Here, Kate in Rang a Trí reflects on some of the activities/gníomhaíochtaí which she has experienced this term, many of which have been funded by the PTA :

Gymnastics: In Gymnastics we are doing bridge and also working on our half handstands. Most people progress rapidly. It is so amazing that we have the oppurunity to do it.

GAA: In GAA we are doing relay races and hand passing. We are also doing bouncing and soloing. It gets people moving and we work in teams.

Daily Mile: Every day we did a run around the Sallyglen. We then went to a Fun Run Day in Kilbogget Park

Frisbee: We did a Frisbee workshop. It was really fun. We played ‘Last One Standing’ and had a truly awesome day.

Drama: We do Drama with Kirana. We do miming, acting and games. Everyone enjoys it thoroughly.

Meanwhile in the Junior Classes this term/téarma we’ve been lucky enough to have Dance classes provided by Clara from Motion 2 Motion School of Dance. Franco from Dalkey United also returned to deliver a wonderful 6 week football coaching programme and Cian from UCD Football Academy has worked brilliantly with all junior classes this term. We are also very grateful to Oisín and Felim, TY students and Cuala players, who have delivered excellent Gaelic Football coaching to all our pupils/daltaí.

It’s marvellous to see the children being given such opportunities/deiseanna to learn new skills and express themselves in so many different ways.
