At DSP, we believe that school is about so much more than what happens in the classroom. It’s about community, inclusion, and creating opportunities for every child to thrive. None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our amazing PTA.

Every year, the PTA works tirelessly behind the scenes—organising events, running fundraisers, and bringing people together—to help fund a wide range of activities that enrich our children’s school experience. From funding alternative learning environments (such as our outdoor learning pods) to other outdoor learning experiences such as Gardening Club and buses to Forest School; from arranging Pre-Loved Clothes sales, community coffee mornings and Spring markets to funding internet safety and ethos talks, the PTA’s efforts have made a real difference to the lives of our children.

As a giving and compassionate community your ongoing generosity has a direct impact on our children’s lived experience in DSP. It is thanks to your financial support our children get to enjoy activities such as gymnastics, dance, GAA, drama, Forest School and other educational trips.

A MASSIVE THANK YOU also to every PTA member, volunteer, and parent who have also contributed in other ways over the years—whether you baked a cake, sold lotto tickets, showed up to lend a hand or helped to organise an event. Your generosity, time, and community spirit are deeply appreciated by the whole school.

REMEMBER: IT TAKES A VILLAGE! You do not need to join the PTA to play a part. We are a small school and are very appreciative of any skill or talent you can bring to help at our various events. Making tea, carrying tables, DJing, face-painting, setting up stalls, decorating etc. etc. All of it is welcome in our village!

Together, we’re providing a space where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to be themselves.
