The Green School’s Committee of DSP went to Ailt An Óir to garden with the residents. We learned about their Polly tunnel and the plants inside it. We planted sunflowers, daffodils and tomatoes. The residents talked about the plants and how they grow. One of the residents was named Síobhan. She talked about some unusual plants and interesting facts about them. One of the Green School leaders taught us an improvised song on the spot to sing to the residents. Some of the residents started singing along too! We hope to visit them once again because we planted seeds and want to see their progress in the spring time, and have some more fun!
