The Board would like to offer its condolences and deepest sympathies to the Johnston family on the recent passing of Micheal. Mike, along with his wife Pat, and other dedicated and hardworking advocates founded DSP which grew into the Educate Together movement. This remarkable contribution to Irish education has helped make inclusive, co-educational, and child-centred schools a reality for many thousands of children and families. Mike’s generosity, energy, warmth, and intelligence have left a lasting impression on all who knew him and we are grateful to his whole family for their lifelong commitment to DSP and our community.

The Board would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the PTA and the entire parent community. They would like to thank everyone who will contribute their time, energy, money and commitment to raising funds through the DSP Lotto to build an even more inclusive environment. The Board would like to highlight the meaningful, positive impact a Nurture Room will have on the lives of the children in DSP.
The Board is truly proud of the vibrant, empathetic and compassionate student voice that can be heard throughout DSP. The Student Council and Green Committee kindly advocate for inclusion, sustainability, and the rights of every child to enjoy equal access to education in an environmentally conscious school. The Board warmly appreciates everyone who steps forward (children and staff) and works with dedication to represent the interests of all the children in our community.
The Board are heartened to see the importance of DSP’s Forest School being reflected in the successful approval of the DSP led Erasmus initiative; Nature-Integrated Learning in Primary School: Bridging classrooms, outdoors and beyond. DSP will join schools from Norway, Spain and Poland to share experiences and gain new insights.
The Board are pleased to inform the community that tenders have been received for the planned extension and alteration works for Dalkey School Project. A tender report will now be sent to the Department of Education and Youth.
