Meet the Kids behind the Cuts

RTÉ filmed in school today. We may feature on Morning Ireland radio tomorrow and tomorrow 6pm TV news. It is vital we raise awareness about the cuts in resources for additional needs.

Keep the pressure on the politicians! Follow-up with a phonecall to support Meet the Kids Behind the Cuts! Demand SNAs for every class & properly resourced assessment services!
We need our DSP Community’s help:
Web Designers, social media support & help with media campaign; if you’re a pro in these fields, PLEASE offer support. Contact: kidsbehindthecuts@gmail.com.
Also use this email address if you need clarity on any politicians responses to original emails or to report if invited to a meeting with a TD.

Invitation from Greystones Educate Together National School

Greystones Educate Together National School is delighted to inform you that we are the host school for an upcoming block of training modules facilitated by Middletown Centre for Autism. These modules are available to parents, guardians and professionals in our locality. Middletown Centre for Autism designs and delivers training programmes cognisant of the needs of parents and education professionals.

Teachers, Special Needs Assistants and parents are welcome to join the courses. To do so, please complete the registration process on the Middletown website. The category ‘educational professional’ (teachers and SNA’) needs to be selected to book the courses you wish to attend.

The full team at Greystones Educate Together National School has committed to 10 hours of training which will form part of our Croke Park requirement for this school year.

Parents of children with Autism are very welcome to attend the training at our school, even if their child attends another school in the locality. Likewise, they will need to register on the Middletown website as a parent and then book the courses they wish to attend.

Refreshments will be provided by Greystones Educate Together National School.

We hope to welcome members of other school communities, as this is a valuable opportunity for parents and professionals to share knowledge and experience and to further develop a support network in our locality.

Please see our attached schedule for further details.

Thank you. and best regards,

Helen McClelland
