Welcome to Week 5 at DSPNS. We have enjoyed a super start to the term, learning to gather socially distanced in the mornings whatever the weather. We encourage all families to get to school on time as this helps the children settle into class more easily and reduces waiting time for children, families and staff. It will be good to have timely arrival at school as a habit for when it becomes more challenging in the darker months ahead.
Did you see the survey we sent last Friday? It is crucial we get a good response to the survey so that our neighbours can feel assured our building and travel plans will not interfere with their access. Last week, one neighbour phoned to let us know there were children playing in their garden and their access was partially blocked by a car parked too close to their gate. We call on all families and minders to alert children to public space (paths and grass) and private spaces (peoples’ wall, driveways, gardens).
Here is the student survey link again for you to complete: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdmz0vdPloCafj5h_h7e_6Whb8ySPVwikKMnHedhlPkdoFdvg/viewform?usp=sf_link
This is a useful maths in the environment project for everyone to learn from. Perhaps children could create their own version of travel-to-school surveys?
