Here is some feedback on your Log of Evidence:
Congratulations to the learners, staff and parents of Dalkey School Project on achieving your Badge of Excellence Award from SFI. It’s wonderful to see that your are using the amazing natural environment around you to enhance teaching and learning.
We particularly note that the 6th class children bring back their experiences to share with the rest of the school and help to develop your own learning opportunities and mini habitats in your school grounds. The Beach Clean fosters environmental responsibility in the whole school community.
Well done to the parents who made time to visit the forest learning site and see the engineering opportunities that were created although it was not possible for them to participate in the actual programme this year. The sit spots were a great idea giving learners a chance to be curious and develop observational skills.
You made good use of many platforms, SeeSaw, Zoom, etc to showcase learning experiences. Using Sun Dials, Compasses and Maths trails were innovative maths extensions in an outdoor setting.
Keep up the good work and continue to explore opportunities to learn from your environment. Your work for the Badge was well tough out, explored and evaluated – well done.
