We are delighted to have the back garden almost ready for more outdoor learning. Sixth class have been a great help to Mike in shovelling and shifting stones. They have learned lots of incidental lessons on carrying loads, managing weights, handling equipment, how forces work etc. Congratulations to all on the super teamwork. Lots of lovely chats took place too, some hide and seek, art appreciation, jokes and laughs. Being outdoors presents a wide variety of learning opportunities enabling children to be decision makers and leaders – in other words, change makers.
We now need about 15 wooden logs to create sitting areas in the outdoor classroom. Do you have some at home or do you know who could provide some? They do not need to be the same size. Spread the word. We would be delighted to be able to organise delivery.
