Using the colours of nature to dye was the activity up in the hill this week.
We discussed in our circle what we could use to dye our string and how we would make our dye. On our walk to our base the children kept their eyes peeled for any flowers and leaves that they could use.
The children worked individually on creating the dyes by smashing the fruit or leaves with a stick in a jar and adding hot water. They then dipped in their string to dye it. The children were amazed at the different colours that were created. We had the weather on our side again which made all the difference. We had our lunch in the sun overlooking the surrounding area.
What an amazing day!!
