Teachers are busy teaching, facilitating standardised tests, writing reports, creating booklists for next year, listening to children’s everyday needs, teaching, planning trips, responding to friendship issues, assessing, collaborating on team initiatives, running beach school, evaluating practices, creating stimulating lessons, timetabling end of year events, teaching forest school, student council and so much more.
We appreciate the calm learning environment that enables a balance of quiet focused times and noisy playful times. Step by step, as we emerge from Covid, we are using inside and outside learning spaces with mixed groups as well as single class groups. We continue to be aware of underlying health issues that children and staff may be living with and we factor in these needs into our decision making. We are grateful for the wonderful opportunity to re-connect at the Student Council picnic outdoors last week. Below are some dates where different groups within our community will have an opportunity to connect over the coming weeks.
