Thanks to Fifth class for their beautiful art work in the yard. November is a month when we benefit from cheering one another up. We have several Festival of Lights to celebrate in the months ahead. Also we can look out for mesmerising morning skies and spectacular cloud formations at sunset. Tuning in to nature’s autumnal colours and lights can help us feel mentally more healthy.
Summary report from Board of Management November meeting
A meeting of DSPNS Board of Management (BOM) was held on Monday 16th November 2020 (via Zoom).
Items on the agenda included the Principal’s Report, Treasurer’s report, Voluntary Contributions (VCs), Communications, Maintenance, Health & Safety and Buildings report. Specific items included:
1. The Board welcomed new members: Ciaran Byrne (Chairperson), Brendan Lawlor (Treasurer) and Lisa Halpenny (VCs and Communication)
2. Thanks to parents who have paid voluntary contributions of €12, 280 to date. 3. The Board invested €7,000 in the purchase of new ipads and ipad management system.
4. The Board extends appreciation to Mike Cahn for his time as caretaker at DSPNS. Mike is leaving his post at the end of this term.
