Here’s the info on Book Week which is taking place next week from Monday 2 March to Friday 6 March.
The children are invited to create their own book cover for a story they have always wanted to write.  These will then be displayed in the school.
The Gutter Bookshop are donating 16 x €5 book tokens (2 per class) which can be raffled at the teacher’s discretion.  These tokens will be available on the morning of Friday 6 March.
Dress up day is on Thursday 5 March where the children can come into school dressed up as a character from a book.

Monday 2 March @ 11:00 to 12:00 Jackie Burke with 3rd and 4th class combined. 
Tuesday 3 March @ 11:00 to 12:00 Siobhan Parkinson with 5th and 6th classes.
Wednesday 4 March @ 9:30 to 10:30 Tarsila Kruse with Junior Infants Wednesday 4 March @ 11:00 to 12:00 Tarsila Kruse with Senior Infants.
Friday 6 March @ 9:30 to 10:30 Linda Fahriln with 1st class Friday 6 March @ 10:45 to 11:45 Linda Fahriln with 2nd class

In-house Bookshop
On Friday 6 March the Gutter Bookshop will be set-up in the Halla from 8:30 until 2:30.  Each class should get 30 min at the bookshop. 
In the tradition of Book Week, all children will receive a €1.50 book token which they can either redeem fully against a World Book Day book or use as part payment against any of the other books for sale.
During their visit to the bookshop, the children will be able to ‘reserve’ books which parents can then collect & pay for at collection.
