Senior Infants

We have been learning about Magnetism- We used lots of different types of magnets. We tested then on different objects to see if they were magnetic.

During Friendship month we discussed what  being a friend means. We came up with lots of words. We put them together to make a friendship quilt with the help of Ms. Ireland.  It is displayed outside our classroom. Thank you Ms. Ireland

In our 1st term in Senior Infants we had the lovely Mrs.Boucher (former teacher in DSP & former Principal of Waterford Ed. Together) come with us to the Botanic Gardens, today and for the next few Wednesday  we are lucky enough to have her back again. This time she is spending time in and out of the classroom with us while we learn about ‘the dandelion’ Thank you Mrs. Boucher. Also a big thank you to Ms. Breetzke who on a flying visit to Ireland has dropped in to give us some of her valuable time too. (more on that later)

We have great fun this week again with Ms. Ireland, she brought us down to the kitchen and we got to make our very own Pizzas. We are so lucky. We then went out on to the patio and had a lovely time eating them.

We are so lucky again this year that the wonderful Ms. Ireland drops in to do many amazing things with us. We were lucky

this time that we got to make and EAT delicious French Bread

As April’s Focus of the month was Friendship. Ms. Beary suggested that we pick a friend from the class and paint a picture them. We all did a brilliant job. They are hanging up in our class room for all to see.

We were so lucky to have had the Heineken Cup in our school. We all got to hold it and have a photo too.

The girls in Senior Infants had a chance to design their very own head bands this week with the help of Tate’s Mum Julie.
